Bamjamz - Something New Under the Covers

Sure, in the winter it's nice to curl up in flannel pjs, but as the weather warms we need something a little lighter under the covers; enter Bamjamz.

Bamjamz is a new line of rayon-bamboo sleepwear, bringing contemporary cool to bed. To the right, you can see a Bamjamz tunic, designed as an extra long shirt so you can wear it with, or without, the matching leggings.

We're also carrying the Classic Signature, full-length, pants. With a drawstring waist, they're perfect for nighttime, daytime or yoga-time.

Bamjamz is about "energy, youthfulness, and waking up in the morning with a smile on your face," according to Brad Rudin, the co-founder and creative director of Bamjamz.

We're also carrying short-tees with new, hip prints, one in garden green and gold, that might make you believe Rudin and his team are onto something. Or, at least, that's what Elle Canada, the Globe and Mail and The Hollywood Minute seem to think.

New Marie Jo L'Aventure - Maximus

We're starting to see more of our spring and summer fashion pieces arriving through the doors of Secret Drawers Lingerie. This week it's Maximus by Marie Jo L'Aventure.

This is a classy look with a twist. The Maximus stays contemporary with tone-on-tone gray colouring and a subtle print on the cup.

Marie Jo's little surprise is found on its split straps: freely moving round and cylindrical beads. This touch of whimsy, only seen up close, reminds us that even a charcoal gray suit needs a flash of fun.

We're carrying this seasonal piece up to an F cup and have matching panty and thong available.

Dragons Should Have Gotten Naked

If you've been in our store recently, you might have noticed Naked, the new boxer briefs for men, on our shelves.

Those of you who are fans of the Dragon's Den on CBC may remember the Naked Boxer Brief Clothing Company from September 2009. Back then, the Dragon venture capitalists decided not to invest in Naked, but if 2010 is any indication, they might be regretting that decision.

Naked ended up raising more money than they asked for from the Dragons and went on to start manufacturing their seamless Italian microfiber underwear in Vancouver, BC.

Recently the Dragon's Den caught up with Naked at their Canada launch party in Toronto.

Joel Primus, president, CEO and founder of Naked had this to say about life since the Dragon's Den:

Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for our fitting clinic. We met lots of new people and perhaps made a Valentine's Day worth remembering for a few.
